Could be a bit of a problem with any missile that is high supersonic in the terminal phase. Consider the immense heat load on the nose and leading edges from air friction. The missile is designed to endure that intense heating.

Now, what is the mechanism the laser uses to destroy a target? Heating effect of course, so how well that will work on a missile already designed to operate while being heated red hot will be interesting.
