Pretty easy fix here.

Arm all the people growing, refining, and marketing the opium. They know the tallyban would shut it down.

We prolly buy a big chunk of that dope anyhows, so it would not be like we were leaving them high and dry.

We need to get the military involved (more) in the dope trade.

Then see how well Mr. Tallyman do.

Sink the Chinese junk.

Make and keep F ghanistan (if it isn’t already) the premiere heroin producer for the world.

That’s the only solution to Afghanistan.

We can only make it ungovernable for the Taliban. To do that we need to strengthen and support the anti-Taliban coalition and make it impossible for the Taliban to govern in any large-scale or organized fashion.

To do that you need about 15,000 US troops protecting major cities and close air support. Skip that cesspool of blackmailing Pakistanis and leave the region to India.
