Obviously, you haven't been keeping up with the medical assisted suicide laws. For example, a elderly woman in Oregon actually got a letter from the State public assistance folks saying that she was not eligible for certain life saving medical procedures her doctor recommended, but that she was eligible for doctor assisted suicide.
So to answer your question....since many years ago murdering another human being became a health service, at least in some states.
