They both have flip flopped on some issues usually important to actual conservatives.
That's not what I mean at all. With his resources, Trump can go after Obama in a way most of us could only dream of doing. I don't have the money to pay for investigators to fly over to Hawaii and dig for dirt. I don't have the money to fight a legal battle with Obama, who has the DOJ and the IRS to back him up. Obama could crush me like a bug. Trump, however, could be a real problem for him.
You do initially in order to destroy your opponent. After he falls then you offer substantive plans... if you have any.
Drop your opponent.. then assume the role of the Champ.
I’m not gonna argue anymore with anyone at FR about Trump. I’m confident he’ll make the best arguments AGAINST himself as time passes. (And, if Trump was in anyway an honest/worthy man he’d just challenge Obama in the primaries—so that he could remain pro-choice, pro-debt, pro-illegals and all the rest of it.)
As for who can run, win, and govern, that person is Sarah Palin. I’m sure a few others could do a great job, Bachmann, DeMint, and down the road Rand Paul or Rubio or Col. West as they gain experience. The conservative bench is getting deeper all the time.
Why would you assume those are the only choices?
