Update: Protesters locked out

Well, maybe there won't be a sleepover tonight in the state Capitol.
Leaders of the Washington State Patrol and General Administration decided to lock down the building at 5 p.m. and allow only lawmakers, journalists and people with legitimate business interests to enter.
It wasn't immediately clear if that meant lobbyists could not return if they left the building.
What was clear is about 75 people, some with sleeping bags, were not allowed inside to watch the scheduled evening session of the Senate -- and maybe protest a little too before going to bed.
WSP Chief John Batiste spoke with a portion of the group around 6 p.m.

Twelve were cited and released for disorderly conduct but one was arrested for assaulting a state trooper. Batiste said he didn't want any escalation.
"In the interest of public safety and in light of what happened today, we need a cooling off period," he said.
When told Gov. Chris Gregoire didn't mind if protesters spent the night as long as they behaved, he said: "They didn't behave."
The closure is in effect until 7 a.m. Friday.

The good news is all the money and energy the unions are expending on state fights this year means less resources for the national main event in 2012.
They aren’t in Madistan any longer...
Don’t worry. They just increase union dues to make it up. Or break an extra leg or two to get it.
They arent in Madistan any longer...
Do these people (protesters) have regular jobs. Are union dues paying for their antics? I wish I had a job that paid me not to bathe, play bonbos, see the country for free, and sit on the floor all day.
Most of the pictures I have seen show younger people in there, either college students or high schoolers who are out on Spring break this week.
This is the chance for young, dumb minds to live their 60’s revolutionary dreams.
“Do these people (protesters) have regular jobs. “
They are vagrant agitators who move around the country to harass U.S. taxpayers and their employers. They are living off Soros’s ill-gotten gains or their gullible parents who are still supporting these loud-mouthed misfits who fancy themselves as victims of The Man instead of blaming their own twisted, repugnant personalities.
Thanks for the links - interesting reading.
Fraudoire thinks she’s doing a delicate dance between competing lefty interests but in truth she’s got wooden clogs and trampling on everyone’s collective toes. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving bunch.
Years of dhimmicratic mismanagement have brought us to the brink and now the queen has to make the tough choices that guarantee her destruction.
But it is the ‘young, dumb minds’ ‘living the 60s fantasies’ 0f OLD HIPPIES. haha. A last flare before the flame goes out.
I am surprised the protesters stuck it out for so long. Most of them must have been experiencing drug withdrawal pain after one day.
They are living off Soross ill-gotten gains.
There is a man after satans own heart. I find nothing redeemable about him. I hear he is having 2 conferences soon and Pelosi is going to speak at one. One conference is on how to change America’s banking system and I forgot the other (not that it wasn’t very important to remember) its just that I don’t.
You are too harsh. They are Community Organizers, otherwise known as Brownshirts, doing good works.
Being from Washington, I will tell you that many liberals here were estatic when Klop declared victory in Wisconsin.
Today there’s a BIG labor rally in Olympia. I suspect the news from Waukesha will make many of the protestors despondant, depressed and rather unlikeable...
...Even more than usual.
One of the fleeing Dem senators from Wi. will be the keynote speakers at the rally today.
That’s exactly how I see it. If school was in session this week, we would have nothing to discuss about this at all...
Excellent. The dems spent a lot of time and energy trying to get their base fired up in WI and what did they get for it?
Nada.
The fleebaggers wasted a lot of time and energy and what did they accomplish?
Nada.
And now they’re spreading out across the country to boast of their failures! Brilliant strategy.
