“The first family has a long-planned family trip to Colonial Williamsburg this weekend,” said Josh Earnest, the deputy White House press secretary. “The president’s priority is working with members of Congress from both parties to avoid a government shutdown, but obviously the family’s plans will change if an agreement is not reached.”

Mr. Obama has had terrible luck when it comes to work interfering with play.

The family’s Hawaiian vacation in 2009 was interrupted by the Christmas Day attempt to bomb a plane. Their attempt to relax in Martha’s Vineyard in August of that year was cut short by the death of Senator Edward M. Kennedy. His visit to Indonesia, where he spent several years as a child, was delayed by the final votes on the health care bill.

Barry has no problem making up for lost time. Actually, he's quite good at it.

I’m sure the good Williamsburgers will miss him and the yeti and their bratty daughters terribly. Snif.

“Mr. Obama has had terrible luck when it comes to work interfering with play.”

Yeh that happens when you try to vacation 50% of the time. The law of averages says work will interfere at some point.

Oh pleeeeze. All the first family does is take vacations on the taxpayers dime.

Don’t those girls go to school?

Geez, it’s like the duty of the office just seems to be an annoyance to him now ... something he does in between vacations.

Yes, you are right...I believe this is the first time in our history that the diddler in chief has ordered up a war while on foreign soil...I am sure the “revision” history being taught in our education camps (AKA as schools) will emphasize the uniqueness of Dear Leader’s abilities!
