...You omitted a proper link in your post...

Proving again...most government employees can only do one-half the job that employees in the private sector can do.

With so many unemployed, and so many businesses closed or closing, people losing their cars/homes/life savings, etc. and this postal worker is whining about a few days or weeks? Give me a break. Guess they will have to "tighen their belts," as Obama told the rest of us. Guess electing Zero and supporting Reid and Pelosi didn't give them the "change" that they "hoped."

USPS is not going to shut down, so why is the guy whining?

Now the retirees will not get their payments on time, but they will get them since that sort of "pay" is computed annually not on a pay period basis ~ or, of course, they could simply call back the retirees and give them their old jobs for a few weeks (at full pay of course).

I'd immediately take sick leave (having walked away from 1500 hours).

This Postal Worker is undoubtedly complaining because other Federal workers get a better deal. The main complaint of public sector drones is that the drones the next county over has a better deal. It could be they make $500 more a year and have two more sick days. Whatever it is, this will be brought up next time their sweet heart labor contract is up for renegotiation
