You’ve been looking at a Euro cousin chart. This is one of those few instances where words mean very different things in Europe than in the USA.

What they call a first cousin once removed, we commonly call a second cousin. Which is the case here. Kotowski is the offspring of Manning’s first Cousin. I don’t think we even have a word that’s in common use to describe what Europeans call second cousins.

one of the thigns I read was (don’t know if its true or not) is that Priests were originally forbidden to marry to keep them from passing large estates, and wealth onto their descendents. Considering that priests no longer command wealth or large amounts of property its long past time the Vatican reversed the policy. No doubt it would lead to a healthier and more vibrant Church. What kind of a healthy person would completely give up sex?

There are probably many young men who revere God and would love to be priests, but they can't live with celibacy.

Ask any man who is a faithful Catholic why he DIDN'T become a priest. He will usually say that celibacy was the issue.
