Amid the threat of a looming government shutdown, House Speaker John Boehner is getting emotional again.

Per ABC News's Jon Karl, the Republican leader, who is known for his tears, was updating the House GOP caucus this morning on the ongoing budget stand-off when his emotions got the best of him. As he was thanking fellow Republicans for sticking with him amid the tense negotiations, the GOP lawmakers rose to give him a standing ovation, prompting Boehner to weep.

"Yes," a person at the private meeting tells ABC. "He cried, but only briefly."

I guess this means that womyn, they cry frequently, should never hold elective office since they’re overly emotional.

man was a leader and probably never shed a tear on the battlefield or in any other situation other than at the funeral of a loved one

Wrong.

" Chancellor Robert B. Livingston solemnly pronounced the oath, the Bible was raised, and the President bowed to kiss it. “I swear,” he declared. With eyes closed, he then fervently added, “So help me God!” Then the Chancellor said, “It is done,” turned to the crowd and loudly exclaimed, “Long live George Washington, President of the United States!” The crowd erupted in praise and applause. The new President bowed again and again, and had to stop to wipe tears from his eyes.

” How in the WORLD did we end up with this hamster as our Majority leader?”

1. He’s not the Majority Leader, he’s the Speaker of the House. 2. If you don’t like our Republic, what would you offer as the alternative?

Ok you got Washington shedding a tear after winning Independece after a long hard war and putting together the most important social contract in world history and being sworn in as the first President.

But Boehner cries when the waitress at his favorite restaurant gets his order right.

And I bet Washington never wore a pink tie to a state of the Union Speech.

Why would a show of support from the people who elected him to lead make him cry?

Same reason Pres. Bush got teary when he received a roar of approval from the troops in Iraq when he flew in for a surprise visit.

It shows that a hard-working leader appreciates the appreciation.

“I guess this means that womyn, they cry frequently, should never hold elective office since they’re overly emotional.”
Those are your words, not mine. There are several women in public service that exhibit much more grace, nerve, decorum, and leadership than Mr. Boehner. Kay Hutchison is one. Heck, even Ann Richards had more guts. (I am going to go wash my mouth out with soap now.)

We are fighting for the future of this nation against people who lie, cheat, & steal...

Boehner can't even keep it together for more than 5 minutes.

Is it too much to get a real man or woman in there?

If you don’t know the difference between a lie and a hyperbole, then it is not surprising that you don’t know the difference between a girlyman and a real man.

Real men don’t cry over spilled milk and they don’t wear pink ties.
