You know, when it snows two inches in this town(DC), the schools close and so do governments, including Uncle Sam.

What happens to the economy? Nothing.

Much ado about nothing.

except during a blizzard people still get their paychecks to pay their mortgages, utility bills and groceries

I cannot even imagine the ripple effect on public services, private businesses and people’s lives if what you suggest would happen

We’d be OK if we had to walk away from this life and our house and go live on a boat or in a trailer near relatives-but some, many, folks not so prepared

Maybe that’s what those FEMA camps are for after all
