I've been up for all of twenty minutes (worked the night shift) and have already seen/heard numerous "headline" reports of Beck's demise, due to "low ratings" and "advertiser boycotts."

My gosh, you can almost hear the champagne corks popping in newsrooms across America.

“My gosh, you can almost hear the champagne corks popping in newsrooms across America.”

Let them have their victory celebrations - it’s a false victory, and they probably need some good feelings to cushion them from what they’re facing, ie. reality. What they think they’re gaining is like a drop of water spared from the ocean of what they’ll be losing.

“Give the man a rest.”

If he needs it. Hawaii has been that for him in the recent past. A little introspection can be a good thing though - I’m sure he’s thought about things more than usual lately.

Keep in mind, the most flak is when over target.

talk maybe but to inform your viewers about what the homosexuals agenda is doing or what they are teaching in the schools or how planned parenthood is getting their money etc is what conservatives and others what to know and hear .

or at least every conservative and ever person I know anyway.

I.E.
Look at don’t ask and don’[t tell, all the vets and those serving wanted him to tell the viewers about what is going on etc and not once would they allow us to talk about it.
People want to know more about this than his boring crap of debt on every show and then listen to Bob Beckle etc
Hannity is a phony and a coward who will not and never inform his listeners or viewers and any person thinking Hannity is a conservative needs to wake up

day Beck leaves is when leave FOX for good, though I hardly watch much of their shows now.
Martha has ruined the show in the morning

The next show is just boring

Kelly is worth watching and brings energy plus she’s not afraid of taking on those elected reps.

Smith needs to be fired

Cavuto , not really my scene but can see how others watch him

Beck I stopped watching but now I’m back again, when he’s informing and breaking news then that is when he’s at his best.

Hannity is just a coward and a phony who can’t talk or inform about social issues and have no idea why anyone saying they’re on the right would watch him

O.R. what a joke this arrogant guy is.

Greta is alright

Fox and friends when E.D.Hill was there
Doocy is good
Kilmeade is an establishment republican I think and likes pushing for Romney, Huckabee and those alike

Glenn Beck's TV show has been a target of the left for some time and so they probably think they've defeated him. In reality, Fox News and Glenn Beck are simply doing an end-run around the Soros attack machine by withdrawing from the daily show and concentrating on 'special reports', which will very likely have more impact. As many have stated, the 5-day-a-week grind of delivering ominous news has to be tough on Beck and frankly, it was getting harder to watch on a consistent basis. Beck's ratings were great but the Media Matters (Soros)-led boycott/sponsor intimidation tactics apparently worked, so the Beck show didn't earn much for Fox, making it economically impracticable to continue.

Thus, an occasional 'special' by Beck will likely do much better economically for Fox, give Beck's Cassandra-like warnings an even bigger audience and relieve Glenn Beck of the daily grind of both a radio and a TV show. I assume we'll be seeing Glenn Beck as a guest/commentator on various Fox news shows, hopefully with serious contributions, not the frustratingly dopey 'class clown' persona he uses during his appearances on the 'O'Reilly Factor'. Beck's obsequious attitude toward Bill O'Reilly is annoying, considering that O'Reilly is only about one tenth as smart and knowledgeable as he likes to think he is...but that's a separate issue.

Sometimes his constant negativity is a bit of a downer.

I know what you mean, but...

He isn't being negative, he's just telling the truth and it's not positive. It's alarming!

Sounds like he will be doing specials...and they will probably be special.

When he was off for a week several weeks ago, I bet this was being discussed.

And IIRC Beck’s demographics were even better than his ratings. I can see what’s in this for Beck, but not for FNC.

That may be true, but he has no advertisers. They are running some real low budget garbage for ads during that time slot. FOX may be the ones pulling the plug if Glenn is making them no money.

There is also something else going on no one is talking about. Glenn is losing radio stations. I live in the NYC Philly media market. He was removed from Philly's Big Talker and WOR in NYC. These are huge revenue stream markets. I also read on another thread that he is off a couple other midwest stations. Stations would not get rid of him if he was making them money. They are much more hard core at shuffling stuff around to bring in listeners for their advertisers.

Please go read Mr Becks interviews with the former RINO Gov of Mass.. you might find your assumption a bit over reaching.

I know...and they're probably salivating at the potential decline of FNC altogether.
Not good for America. Especially now. But their attempts at being balanced is tedious. I want an altogether conservative network or won't bother.

This was a pretty big win for The Little Fuhrer, Georgie Soros and his Nazi stormtroopers. They scored a direct hit! For what it’s worth, I believe Hannity is probably next. I really can’t see them ever nailing Rush though. He’s a lot smarter than they are. He’ll probably just hang up his cleats and go home. The new majority of “people” living in this country don’t care about America, freedom and liberty anymore. All they care about is their greed, their cellphone and the freebies and handouts they can mooch from the government.

“Keep in mind, the most flak is when over target.”

I agree. The left was waiting for a melt down, ala the movie Network. Fox and Beck have just removed that scenario.....frankly I don’t know how Beck has kept it together as long as this.

If anyone cares.....here is the poignant scene from the movie Network.....1976. The executive explains to the news caster his roll. I suggest you all watch and learn.

I think Soros won a round, and no one wants to admit that FOX is caving in. After all, follow the money, as the ideas are merely incidental to that.

They might have, but have you ever seen that last round of the fight between Micky Ward and the Irish-British boxer as depicted in Wahlberg’s ‘The Fighter’?

Lots of gloating over at MSNBC on their web site...

Libs everywhere rejoicing. I pray that Beck makes them eat their words/criticism.

MSNBC is making it sound like over 500 advertisers pulled their advertising, and that is what is behind this decisions.

Another part of their article points to Beck’s viewership declining from 2.7 million to 2 million. What I find funny - that is still about 10x the viewership of most MSNBC programs (if not all!).
