Some Muslim, somewhere, is going to feel compelled to kill Terry Jones for insulting Islam, much like that Muslim in Holland felt compelled to murder film maker Theo van Gogh.

I think Jones understands that there's a good chance that he may become a martyr, and welcomes it.

Even though he may welcome the attempt, I don't think Mr. Jones is going to just allow himself to be martyred. I believe he carries a gun everywhere. Even when preaching, he has a handgun on the podium right next to his bible.

Perhaps the Lord has given Pastor Jones the green light to do this in order to expose the lies that our leaders are spouting to placate this blood cult?
