The only thing that might prevent is re-election is the loss of the dollar’s “Reserve Currency” status! - If that happens, what’s the difference, the US is toast, and will over-night become a Third World debtor!
In two years the US dollar will be worth a tenth what it is today.
Fuel pumps will have to add another digit or change to measuring in liters.
A real copper penny will be worth over 50 cents.
Even a zinc penny will be worth over 25 cents.
The brass dollar will be small change.
