With thanks to Diana West, I received a couple of links to YouTube videos that feature a brave Colorado woman named Ann Barnhart. Thomas Jefferson would have loved this lady.
In the first one, she pretty well grinds Senator Lindsey Graham to little pieces for his suggestion that Congress should pass a law that outlaws burning of the Koran.

From Barnhart’s oration, we learn that Senator Graham’s position is that during times of war (he had the unbelievably audacity to cite World War II to bolster his argument) there must be limits on things that Americans can or should say that might encourage and embolden the enemy. We must be polite, or they’ll get angry with us.
Is that so, Lindsey? Try this one, released in 1942, during the darkest days of WWII:

Pretty defiant, huh? One must put this Disney cartoon into context. When it was released, Poland, France, Norway, Belgium The Netherlands, Czechoslovakia, North Africa, the Phillipines, China, Burma, Guadalcanal, and most of the Pacific island chains had fallen to the armies of Germany and Japan. Oh, yes, and let’s not forget Italy’s conquest of Ethiopia. The entire world was in flames.
It was defeat after defeat after defeat for the United States and our allies, until the Battle of Midway in June of 1942.
Wonder if some Japanese and Nazi higher-ups were angered, encouraged and enflamed when they saw that Donald Duck piece? Not too polite, if you catch my drift.
We are in a terrible mess. The whole of Western Civilization is under attack from Islam and men like Lindsey Graham want Americans to shut up and behave, so that we don’t make our enemies angry.
I’ve never met Ann Barnhart. But, I would like to shake her hand and offer her a cup of coffee. She is absolutely correct in here analysis of our dhimmi dilemma. And the lower we prostrate ourselves before our would-be Muslim masters, the bolder they will become.
Here’s part 2 of Barnhart, in which she takes the Koran apart, bellicose verse by bellicose verse – and burns it:

More to follow on this lady, I’m sure. Stay tuned.
But in this case, I think it is appropriate.
My apologies to those with slow internet connections.
Never forget...
Why, this Barnhart woman is no different that Pastor Jones.
Her words will surely incite some rag-heads to kill and behead Christians. Why, I can hear Gen. Betray us and his girlfrind Lindsey now crying over how this puts troops in danger.
We should take away her rights and freedoms. How can we expect our troops to be over there fighting for our freedoms if we are only gonna use them?
This woman is exactly right on principle. And she NAILED Pandsey Grahamnesty. She knows the Constitution BETTER than he does!
It’s still STUPID to burn a Q’uran. It still incites the enemy to violence against our troops — and our military IS handicapped because we have a C-in-C that has them so tied up with restrictive ROE that they CAN’T properly defend themselves, much less win a war! What Terry Jones did caused the deaths of American military personnel. What she’s doing in burning the Q’uran could very well do the same. She has the RIGHT to do it — but is it the WISE thing to do?
And I noticed that at the end of part 2, she actually gave her address and invited not just the government, but Muslims to have at her. I appreciate her forthrightness. She should know she WILL BE a target now. Again, makes for great rhetoric, wonderful YouTube theater — but she lives in the real world where there are bad people who CAN come for her. She can probably “handle herself” well, in terms of “self defense.” But one woman, in her home, alone, would be limited in just how much defense she could muster.
I am 100% behind Ms. Barnhardt in her principles, her understanding of the Constitution, her view of Senator Graham and her view of radical Islam. I question the wisdom of her act of burning the Q’uran as it imperils the lives of our military, and it endangers her own life — in ways she may not even understand or be aware of.
So don’t bother questioning my patriotism or calling me a sellout. Having principles, and possessing the wisdom to know how and when to apply them are two different skills. I am questioning the latter, not the former. I wish her ONLY the best — and safest — future. And MAN, I want HER to come to SC to run against Senator Jack— I mean Senator Graham :-D
Not planning to be a scholar of the koran Qur’an or however they want to call it. I’ve had that copy for over 10 years and tonite was the first time I ever opened it only to read a passage along with her readings from her copy. Her copy and mine agreed in basic substance but the verses in my copy had slightly different wording lacked the in depth clarity that hers did. That was enough for me to raise the question that I did.
So, my question was, what other published translations are out there that may have different wording. I’m sure we are in full agreement about Islamic terrorists, CAIR, Sharia, et. al, so I didn’t need the photo lecture.
As Reagan said, Trust, but verify! If she were making some of the verbiage up (which I don’t believe she was), that would not be a good thing. The point is don’t believe EVERYTHING you see, hear, or read, just because you agree with what is being said.
bfl
I hear you.
I too question her wisdom.
But, as the LORD Himself said:
“I would rather that you were cold or hot.”
One thing’s for sure: This lady won’t stand guilty of the sin of lukewarmness...one of the most besetting sins of our time.
Please validate this assertion.
BTTT.
In case you missed it. Her speech at the end of the Koran burning video is incredible.
Part 2 should be viewed and understood by all FReepers who doubt that “moderate” Muslims who adhere to the Koran are anything but enemies to the death of the rest of us.
