...this will not end well. Trump obviously has some dubious sources.

I'm waiting for Trump to tell us Obama couldn't have traveled to Pakistan on an American passport.

I really want to like the guy, too.

“Trump is a liberal. End of story. Doesn’t matter if he is for our national security, will protect the border, will fix the economy, will protect the constitution.”

“He is pro abortion and pro gay marriage. Game over.”

Bill O’Reily asked him straight up his views on both. He clearly stated he was against abortion and against gay marraige.

Why have a First Amendment if PC tolerance trumps it ?

A man (or, woman) cannot serve two gods.

They can serve truth or they can serve mammon.

Perhaps Trump is leading the way for all the other capitalist who are appalled at what Obama is doing to this country’s business affairs.

Is FR ready to set up a Trump for President Club?

As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America. We oppose all forms of liberalism, socialism, fascism, pacifism, totalitarianism, anarchism, government enforced atheism, abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, racism, wacko environmentalism, judicial activism, etc. We also oppose the United Nations or any other world government body that may attempt to impose its will or rule over our sovereign nation and sovereign people. We believe in defending our BORDERS, our constitution and our national sovereignty.

Trump (and supporters) FAIL.

Trump reminds me of Rooty. Bugzapper thread? Hmmm.

Social conservatives or Fiscal conservatives?

No difference. Attempting to divide conservatives in this manner is what libs want to do.

I think he’s aiming for a Trump/Clinton or a Clinton/Trump ticket.

You are correct. Trump has been praising and donating to hacks as a matter of business. Of course he praised Hillary. ...he does mucho business in New York State and she was his Senator and he might need her. Flattery is cheap

Big deal

I've seen David Copperfield make the Statue of Liberty disappear...should we make him the Republican Party presidential nominee?

Trump has showmanship skillz...he's clearly bamboozled some birthers. But I want the most conservative candidate to win the party nomination. Period.

If he manages to somehow pull it off, I would for him if the only other choice was the Hawaiian, but until then, I wanna see Trump's conservative bona-fides.

I wish Trump success in exposing Barry as a fraud. It isn’t an easy job to do when the media has circled the wagons, but it is an important job that others are afraid to do.

I'm cautiously skeptical of all things Trump, but you're way off base on that analysis. This game is not over by a longshot.

If Trump comes in strong on national security, the border, the economy and protecting the Constitution, he'll win (re)election with crushing landslides.

It's sad that he's only lately come to his current views on abortion and gay marriage, but ... dude. The country is ripe for a knock down drag out over a lot of issues in 2012, but abortion isn't one of them. Most Americans and most conservatives will be ready to add him to Mount Rushmore if he can fix the border, the economy, national security and upholds the Constitution.

Trump may be saying things that others should be saying.

The lone service he does is just saying them with all the publicity his name gets him; and thus what he says gets more publicity.

Let him honestly create legitimate mistrust of Obama.

Beyond that, as a GOP candidate, Trump would be like a Swarzenegger on steroids for the GOP, with his ego supplying the steroids. And we all know how great Swarzenegger was for the GOP. NOT.

the abortion freaks give me and the conservative movement a real headache...government should not pay for abortions, government should not ban abortions. It is a matter strickly between the woman (because she is carrying) and her doctor. Hopefully she has consulted her family...and must have parental consent if underage (for any medical procedure).

I can’t tell a dime’s worth of difference between the religious right telling a women what she or can’t do and the Taliban forcing a woman to burka up or accept other wives.....Both extremes need to get lost and get out of my universe.

The whole abortion “debate” would benefit from, in the words of the late Senator Moynihan, some “benign neglect”.

jes saying....
