Now Libya steps on President Obama's message

President Barack Obama’s decision to intervene in Libya has presented him with a whole new set of political problems with members of both parties. But its most worrisome effect for the White House is the way it’s undermining his efforts to address what has been his administration’s longest-running issue — the economy.

The economy – and Obama’s claim that he rescued the country from the brink of depression — will be central to Obama’s reelection campaign, which he officially launched by releasing a video message to supporters Monday morning. But in the view of his closest allies, Libya is drowning out his attempts to portray himself as an economic commander-in-chief fighting a series of new threats to the fragile U.S. recovery, especially the devastating and politically poisonous rise in gas prices.

The most recent example: On Friday, press secretary Jay Carney hoped to spend quality time with the White House press corps discussing an upbeat March employment report showing the economy added 216,000 jobs, outpacing analysts’ estimates.

But he was asked a grand total of two questions about the report. He fielded 16 about Libya and at one point had to sneak in a plug for the positive job numbers when a reporter asked a question about budget negotiations with Congress.

“Don’t tell me Libya is not a distraction,” said Leslie Gelb, president emeritus of the Council on Foreign Relations.

“Dealing with a military operation of this complexity, with this many moving parts, takes an enormous amount of the president’s time. We’re talking about hours and hours a day dealing with his national security staff. ... It has an impact on everything else.”....This is too much for Barry it interferes with his vacation and golf time.

Straw man arguments.

He cannot prove he saved the USA from a depression.

He cannot PROVE he stopped a genocide in Libya.

With inflation setting in (groceries are sky-rocketing weekly), people out of work, and seniors watching their savings (interest rate) dwindle, his BS words will fall on deaf ears!

But the illegals will vote for him & the dead in Chicago & anyone else Soro's can dig up!

And I’m not sure that his out of work supporters are really going to believe that the economy is improving. I firmly believe that there are some Dems that want to work for a living.

For one thing, it's hard to step on something that doesn't exist. For another, the media will soon lose interest and the cameras will move on. If there are no cameras, there is no war. It's why there isn't a no-fly zone over the Ivory Coast.

The cameras have not moved on yet. Here is the latest Libya feed from AOL News. It is about the implications of infighting among Qadaffi’s children. There are 7 photos of his brood, and after you view those, there are 500 more photos. The first 100 + show the April 4th fighting to retake the oil city of Brega which seems to be going well. Citizens fleeing the combat are smiling and flashing the V sighn. Then there are photos of Ukranian and Turkish ships removing dual citizens from Tripoli, and wounded people from Misrata for transport to Benghazi and Turkey for treatment.

Carter is Obama. Obama is Carter.

Both are Traitor Losers who hate America!

Jimmy Carter's presidency was doomed by the Iranian hostage crisis after the US embassy in Tehran was stormed by Islamist extremists following the Iranian revolution.

A year after the 52 Americans were taken hostage, Carter lost the 1980 election. The hostages were released just as President Ronald Reagan, who defeated Carter, was sworn in.

Thanks to RushIsMyTeddyBear for this graphic art reality!
