We surveyed Islam in Catholic high school religion class, in 1964. My impression was that is was presented as just another religion, that claimed to complete Christianity. In other words, Islam stood in relation to Christianity approximately were Christianity stood with respect to Judaism. It was not presented as in the least negative, simply another false religion like Hinduism or Lutherans, who needed to become Catholics.

So Lutherans are not Christian.....interesting.....
Appears the tenants of their faith indicate that they believe in Christ as being Devine....and....thet they are saved through God's Grace given through the Fathers sacrifice of the Son....
Simply put...Lutherans believe in Christ as the redeemer and that they are saved through God's Grace....and anything man attempts to do to earn salvation is worthless....that is....other than having faith in Christ....
Are you stating that there is something missing...please do tell what that is?

My impression was that is was presented as just another religion, that claimed to complete Christianity Sounds like liberals ran your Catholic school. In public grade school, we had one class where the teacher said Islam spread by the sword.
