And I DO hold Islam responsible.

Then how can you claim that Jones acted irresponsibly? He acted in accordance with his own conscience and didn't hurt a soul. Islam committed murder in response to nothing more than a bonfire by an individual citizen having no connection with Afghanistan or our own Government.

Using your logic, the United States acted irresponsibly by maintaining a military presence in Saudi Arabia after Desert Storm and allowing the Infidels to pollute the Holy Ground of Arabia and therefore somehow the United States deserved the violence that occurred on 9/11/01.

What Jones did is irrelevant to what the Muslims did. It is nothing more than a pretense to kill infidels and that is what we are up against in Afghanistan. We are up against people who hate us and will look for any excuse whatsoever to kill us in the name of their Religion. If it wasn't Jones, it would have been something else. And the next time, it will be something even more innocuous, like one of our women soldiers showing an ankle in public or reading a copy of the Bible off base.

As I have said many, many times before, Jones acted irresponsibly in doing something absolutely pointless knowing full well that he was putting our troops at greater risk in doing so.

Apparently he was more interested in himself and his 15 minutes of glory than he was in doing the right thing. But then again, he IS a Phelps devotee, and we all know how conservative and principled those 'Christians' are....
