coconut oil has reportedly been helpful with some dementia, even sending some Alzheimer’s into significant remission.
Certainly doesn’t hurt and is cheap enough.

Thanks for the hint. We tried the coconut oil, but it caused her sugar count to go way up. We asked the doctor and he said that he had heard of it, but did not know enough about it to either recommend it or not. I think we will start her on it again soon though. When we did give it to her, after about 4 days we could see some improvement in her speech, and she said my name for the first time in weeks. She has Diabetes and we don't want her sugar count to go any higher. She is now 82 years old, and we want to keep her for another 20 years. Again thank you for suggesting the coconut oil.
