In it, the writer expresses outrage over government power, and the perceived arrogance of politicians and those who support them. The paragraph above, plus the headline, seeks to give the impression the threat comes from a far-right crazy, when buried later in the article we read the threats come from a far-LEFT crazy.

Very similar to the way that the MSM withholds partisan affiliation in any story about a Democrat committing a crime. They waited till the NINTH paragraph in the story before they got to "do the bidding for those in power and side against unions and the working class in favor of pro-corporate nonsense" etc. The first few paragraphs are written to make it seen that he's somehow "anti-government" a.k.a. another Tea Partier.
