George Orwell was one man who did warn us ... about the day when socialists could control how we live and die — and even think.

Not surprisingly, socialized medicine came to Britain about the same time Orwell was publishing “1984” (late 1940s). Unfortunately, the Brits as a whole didn't pay heed to the warnings sounded by one of their greatest citizens.
