WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Persistent Federal Reserve critic Representative Ron Paul plans to hold a hearing on the U.S. central bank's emergency loans to the branches of non-U.S. banks, his spokeswoman said on Saturday.
"I was surprised and deeply disturbed ... to learn the staggering amount of money that went to foreign banks," Paul said in a statement.
"These lending activities provided no benefit to American taxpayers, the American economy, or even directly to American banks," he said.

When you look at the history of implementing public schools in this country, it was done by a small group of people who had sent their children to Germany to get advanced degrees not offered here. Those children became government employees or ran for government offices.
It continues to this very day. A majority of our judges, top government officials, representatives and lawyers, came from only FIVE colleges. FIVE!!!
The created a structure that has kept them in power since the public school movement of the 1850’s.
They have NOT represented the citizens of this country for a very long time.

In Washington it is only when money is spent on American citizens that objection gets raised. There is little objection to spending money in the rest of the world for war, nation building, foreign aid, factory building, trade deficits and the like.
I didn’t say anything about the current state of the FED loans.
And I know from seeing your posts that your questions aren’t asked to elicit debate, but to state your ‘facts’ as gospel, and then you engage in insults.
