It made me sick when I heard Hugh Hewitt urging Americans to buy Jap cars.

When did you hear this? I'm curious. I've been a fan of Hugh in the past but this really makes me angry. If true I'm gonna fire off a really angry letter at him. He should know that we need to keep manufacturing here in the US and that transplants are NOT THE SAME as GM or Ford. He should also know just how hard it is today to build anything here in the US. I'm really disappointed in Hewitt if what you say is true.

It was in early 2009 at or about the time the feds assisted our auto industry. It was one of the few times that I ever heard an American favor Jap industry over our own.

Maybe he was paid to make that pitch for the Japs, I don't know. But, I thought it was disgusting. I remember him specifically recommending Toyota.
