Texas has gotten more than its fair share of government loot the last half century ~ Johnson Space Center springs to mind.
Texas exists because the United States helps it stay different from Mexico to some extent.

Texas using drug gov money to build scientific space centers? That’s redistributin, the right way... Texas knows how to care for Indians, it builds them a space center... good friend is good master if friendship is refused.
