Uh, I gotta ask. When the two officers jumped out, was the year 1974, and were you wearing a military uniform, and were you getting ready for the 4th of July Parade? I honestly (and respectfully) cannot imagine the scene you descirbed.

It is sometimes hard to believe how far our liberties and culture have fallen in such a short time. In the 50's people walked around New York with long guns, and no one bothered them. People in New York suburbs shot pistols in target practice in their back yards. Up until 1968, you could buy and anti-tank gun with ammo through the mail, and people did. The wholesale infringement on our liberties has only been going on for a few decades, but it is as though all the past has been put down the memory hole.

That’s why the repeal of GCA68 should be a top priority.

Sadly, the NRA never even talks about that.
