Justice Department should release report on voter-intimidation case
The Justice Department continues to do its best to whitewash its involvement in the New Black Panther Party voter intimidation case. The departments Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) wrote Tuesday to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Lamar S. Smith to say it found no misconduct in Obama administration political appointees overruling career attorneys in dropping most charges and penalties against the individuals who stood menacingly outside a polling place in military-style uniforms, holding nightsticks.
The text of OPRs report, which took 19 months to complete, remains under wraps. Thats not surprising considering the office has long been a hotbed for liberal attorneys. In January 2010, the Justice Departments senior career official, Associate Deputy Attorney General David Margolis, ripped OPRs conduct in its most recent high-profile review. Mr. Margolis wrote that OPR had applied standards of conduct in the case of President George W. Bushs alleged torture attorneys John Yoo and Jay Bybee that didnt even exist at the time the supposed infractions occurred. He explained that those standards were neither known nor unambiguous.

Whaddaya think jazz...will the truth behind all of this ever come out?? DOJ is in this up to their eyebrows and it could take years to even put a dent into this, and the longer this takes the further we get from the event...
I honestly don’t think the truth of the corruption in DOJ will come out on this for many years if ever. Members of Congress are not about to push this, in my view, and at this point they’re the only ones who can do it. It’s really sad when our DOJ can’t be relied upon to enforce our laws.
The plain truth. We do not have a current DOJ, but merely a group of panthers and acorn protectors. And yes, I have not mentioned the unions.
