I was thinking the same thing. It's easy to sit alone behind your computer with complete anonymity and make fun of what other people look like.

Just today I had a meltdown because I recently (six months ago) developed some kind of problem with my muscles that the doctors can't figure out yet. I had to stop my daily hour long workouts at the gym and I've gained a lot of weight as a result. I've been working out for years and I was in good shape. It's frustrating to not be able to do the simplest activities without getting exhausted and ending up in pain. But now I qualify to be the butt of peoples' jokes on FR. I probably am a little bigger than the woman we're talking about here.

It really disturbs me because I love this place. I love the political insight and the humor. The funniest people I know are here. But, I always cringe when I read the comments about people's looks because I know there are libs who come here and see this stuff. Yes, they do the same thing on their forums, but why can't we be better?

But you are unlikely to be evaluated on FR for sending bomb threats, molesting children, running over an ex-husband, being a demoncratic Speaker of the House, or (G-d forbid) Helen Thomas.

If we see your pic in the news, it's likely to be something about saving puppies from flood waters, winning pie recipe at the State Fair, or getting arrested at an abortion protest.

Different rules apply to good guys.

Don't worry too much Ma'am. The caustic comments are for the loser libs;especially when they get busted for showing their hypocrisy.
I also am a devoted 'excersier' who gets chubbed-up during the winter holidays/breaks. Which here are about 2 1/2 months long. So my usual 5 mile dailies turn into cocktails and snacks...until about mid-march when the weather breaks and I get to start it all over again...sore muscles, cramps, stretched ligaments, tendons, etc...which is what is happening now.
Plus, I'm looking six decades right in the eye and it ain't as easy as it once was...lol.
