After airstrikes destroy much of government's heavy weaponry in the east, anti-Qaddafi forces seize momentum, push toward capital.
RAS LANOUF, Libya - Libyan rebels have seized back a second key oil complex and are pushing west toward Tripoli, after international airstrikes that tipped the balance away from Muammar Qaddafi's military.
The rebels seized back the oil refinery of Ras Lanouf on Sunday after taking control of Brega, another oil complex on eastern Libya's coast.
Ras Lanouf and Brega were responsible for a large chunk of Libya's 1.5 million barrels of daily exports, which have all but stopped since the uprising that began Feb. 15 and was inspired by the toppling of governments in Tunisia and Egypt.

Libyan rebels in Benghazi said they have created a new national oil company to replace the corporation controlled by leader Muammar Qaddafi whose assets were frozen by the United Nations Security Council.
The Transitional National Council released a statement announcing the decision made at a March 19 meeting to establish the Libyan Oil Company as supervisory authority on oil production and policies in the country, based temporarily in Benghazi, and the appointment of an interim director general of the company.
The Council also said it designated the Central Bank of Benghazi as a monetary authority competent in monetary policies in Libya and the appointment of a governor to the Central Bank of Libya, with a temporary headquarters in Benghazi.

And we’re supposed to believe this takeover was all spontaneous?
This story says Sunday, since that time the pictures and reports show a whipped dog ragtag out fit running away.
CIA operative?????
Yes, but my main point was that they’d already set-up everything beforehand. The corporations will get the oil with boots on the ground. It’s only a matter of time. This was a European war for oil as they’ve always supplied them. Gadaffi wasn’t playing ball and getting too independent as they now have their own water and are growing their own wheat etc.
No oil for Soros.
That’s what they did in the Balkans where they were touting great success. The ME is getting the same treatment. We won’t be immune from this...in time we’ll also be invaded as there are no borders nor sovereignity countries according to the UN.
Where is the shot of allah akpukinbar screams and photos of Bin ladens goat?
Of course, the none fighting, I don’t want to get hurt leaders are not in the country, they planned this for five years. One of them lived in PA for years, he has some sort of doctoral degree from there and I bet knows obummer. He knows his female war dog consultant. Some liberal woman was on the john bachelor show, talking about the rebel leader the other night.
That article is dated March 27.
The rebels now have been pushed back east and the fighting is around Adjadibya again.
So today they are winning, again. Sheesh.
This story is four days old, and events on the ground are quite a bit different. The Libyan military has been kicking their a** ever since.
No, that was Sunday. BEFORE "O Bomb A"'s speech. This is Thursday. Old News travels slow.
