This would truly be extraordinary considering birth certificates don't list a child's religion on them.
I heard that, but it doesn’t really make sense to me. Is there even a “religion” box on a birth certificate? And, even if there was, changing religions is no big deal to Americans — however hot and bothered it makes the Mussies.
No, it’s something more than that. It has to be something Obama thinks would be an actual deal killer. Whatever it is, my guess is that Trump already knows what it is.
Lots of people have been bemoaning the fact that no Conservative leader, including Sarah, has been willing to take up this issue. I can understand that. Being the first man up the scaling ladder or the point man on an uphill bayonet charge is not really something most people would consider career-enhancing. Besides, from their point of view, there are so many other safer issues they can slam Obama with, why take a chance on the one issue that might actually be a trap?
Trump changes the equation. I don’t think he is really serious about running for the Republican nomination, but if he is, this single issue will either make or break that effort. With that in mind, I do not think he would be raising it if he did not have a good idea what the real answer is.
The man is just too smart. Smart, cunning, ruthless, a gambler, but like any good gambler he knows how to weigh the odds.
