I don’t know one Muslim who will denounce Sharia Law, and then say they can support the Constitution of the United States of America. So my assumption based on what I know about their belief system is that they are not going to give up Sharia Law. Anybody that takes the oath of office in a Herman Cain administration will put their hand on the Bible, not the Koran!

Cain’s got a lot of moxie, to be sure.
Not everybody who calls himself or herself Muslim would seek to integrate Sharia into US secular law, though all see Sharia (viewed liberally by some, strictly by others) as having application to themselves. The devil is in the details and there will be no shortage of debate about it. The main problem with Sharia is that when viewed strictly, it amounts to a conquer-the-world-by-force mandate. No way that can coexist with a free, or otherwise, non-Islamic society.
Wouldn’t this be playing into the hands of those who want the power of religion and the power of state to be THE SAME?
What if an Atheist wanted to be sworn in using a copy of the Constitution ?
By ‘forcing’ people to swear in using a Bible, then you set the precedent for ‘forcing’ people to use whatever the government demands.
The Bible is only a tool, in this case, and what ever ‘tool’ you have faith in, should be the one you swear by.
This is (IMHO) one of those GOOD INTENTIONS that can end up having BAD CONSEQUENCES.
It was none of America’s business, -that’s- ‘what it was like’.
