Sound to me like this guy somehow got on th ewrong side of someone in the PD. Perhaps the guy that broke into his house is related to someone on the force and reporting the crime brought too much heat down on him. (happens more that you could believe in MA)

An even worse scenario is this guy could have filed a complaint against one of their fellow officers — THAT really sets off the harassment machine.

I escaped MA last year and some of the things I found out about the small town I lived in could turn your hair white.
