Crim, and Red in Blue... I can't cite the law because I don't live in Ma. and I don't know their laws and there is always more to a story than the press gives you.
absolootezer0... bringing charges is the job of the DA not the police. The DA is an elected official. Don't like the way he runs things, vote him out. The appeals court comes in here as well.
Everyone... I don't like the sound of this any more than you do but a knee jerk reaction of hatred against the police is unworthy of you.
Knee jerk?
The police are sh%#ing on the 2A and you say we are having knee jerk reactions?
Your question is a non sequitor. Why should I answer it. And FYI The Nuremburg trials established the fact the "just carrying out orders." does not give people moral exemption from what they do even ignoring the wide lattitude that the police have in creatively applying charges
i’m referring most specifically to a cop that catches them in the commission of a crime.
but in coming after someone after the fact, the way i’ve seen it happen is the cop still gets to pick and choose what all he arrests the guy for, and later the prosecuting attorney choses which charges he actually pursues.
