You know, prior to yesterday's thread, EVERY thread I have ever posted about the Komen-PP link has had a FReeper show up and basically say, "You obviously have never known anyone who suffered and died from breast cancer."

The reality is that there probably isn't an adult in the country that hasn't had someone close to them (wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, daughter, etc.) suffer from breast cancer.

I have nothing but the most profound sympathy for anyone who has had breast or any other cancer. My father-in-law died of lung and brain cancer. I can understand how torn people can be when they have a loved one who is dying, or who may die of a disease, but supporting an organization that could do this is wrong.
