Michele Bachmann, pressing her case against the Obama administration’s health care overhaul, announced legislation Wednesday to remove the $105.5 billion in automatic funding that she says was “buried in ObamaCare.”

The bill, which has yet to get any traction with Republican leaders in the U.S. House, would give Congress the authority to take back the funding in future years. It also rescinds all existing unobligated balances in the health care bill, a top target for Tea Party groups across the nation.

Michele Bachmann

born April 6, 1956 in Waterloo, IA (Meets the Jus Soli Requirement)

Parents were
David John Amble, born in MN
Jean Johnson, born in IA

Both parents were US Citizens at the time of her birth (Meets the Jus sanguinis Requirement)

Michele Bachmann is a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN unlike Comrade Barry Soetoro aka Barack Hussein Obama.

Those idiots that commented make Massholes look darn near rational! Anybody notice that the DNC talking point for this week is to attack the Tea Party and keep repeating the phrase “Tea Party”. Juan Williams did it on Hannity’s show today, I just heard it on Special Report and have been reading it in blogs all day>

These people are so transparent!

the first requirement yes.

the second is non-existant and would require a change of constitution. (due to immigration laws changing over the years and at some points being non-existent)

I doubt her bill will get traction from the Republican side of the Democrat party.

Republicans who are not Conservative are nothing but democrats in disguise.

If as Comrade Obama Jr claims his dad was Barak Hussein Obama Sr, of Kenya,
than it's not possible for Junior to be a Natural Born Citizen of the U.S.

At the time of the drafting and ratification of the United States constitution,
the definition of natural born citizen, combined both the principles of jus soli and jus sanguinis.

“The citizens are the members of the civil society; bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to its authority, they equally participate in its advantages. The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens.
As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by the children of the citizens, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all their rights. The society is supposed to desire this, in consequence of what it owes to its own preservation; and it is presumed, as matter of course, that each citizen, on entering into society, reserves to his children the right of becoming members of it. The country of the fathers is therefore that of the children; and these become true citizens merely by their tacit consent. We shall soon see whether, on their coming to the years of discretion, they may renounce their right, and what they owe to the society in which they were born. I say, that, in order to be of the country, it is necessary that a person be born of a father who is a citizen; for, if he is born there of a foreigner, it will be only the place of his birth, and not his country.”
Emmerich De Vattel, (1714-1767,) Law of Nations, 1758, § 212, "Of the citizens and naturals."

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________ Rep John A Bingham, who later became the chief architect of the 14th Amendment’s first section, in the United States House on March 9, 1866, commenting upon Section 1992 of the Civil Rights Act, said that the Act was “simply declaratory of what is written in the Constitution, that every human being born within the jurisdiction of the United States of parents not owing allegiance to any foreign sovereignty is, in the language of your Constitution itself, a natural born citizen”.

Rep. Bingham said “parents.” He did not say “one parent” or “a mother or father.”

Many kudos to Michelle Bachmann on this issue. Several others seem to be ignoring it....and it’s extremely important!

The Founding Fathers and their contemporaries were all "grandfathered" in. They could not be natural born citizens of the United States, becuase the United States did not exist when they were born.
