To all the Freepers accusing me of socialism and wanting to steal from the rich to give to the poor you are in serious need of better reading comprehension and critical thinking!

I outlined corrupt/illegal actions that the super rich *routinely* use to escape paying the tax rate. That is what I meant by “fair share”, whatever the tax rate is! I am in favor of a flat tax.

Some of you are so clueless as to what is happening it’s shocking. The global cabal of bankers and super rich who are setting up the New World Order.

This knee jerk defense so many GOPers give when you dare to mention shenanigans the super rich are doing is pathetic.

Guess who engineered the financial and housing markets collapse and then made TRILLIONS afterward, it was the super rich! This fawning over them just because they have made it to the top of the money pile is unpatriotic and is frankly quite immature. The super rich have declared war on everyone including the rich, middle class and anyone else who doesn’t follow their plans.

How do you think the moron Obama was selected and funded? Evil super rich scum like George Soros and the selfish bastards on Wall Street and at the Fed who don’t care if they trash the US economy, tank the US dollar, and drive up inflation because AS LONG AS THEY MAKE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS, BILLIONS OR TRILLIONS THEY DON’T GIVE A F**K ABOUT AMERICA! They are in some ways even more dangerous than parts of the Left because they have the money and thus the power to do what they want, unless/until enough of us wake up and oppose them.

Try doing some more thoughtful analysis before any of you dare accuse me of being a socialist or wanting to steal money from the rich!

I’m with you on this, CR.

They have theirs, and want to prevent anyone else from earning or getting their own wealth. Mostly though, what they want is power, especially the power to tell everyone else how to live OR tell others whether they will be allowed to live.

My God, what a clueless, delusional tool you are. The evil super rich guy engineering the colapse of the housing market is no more real than Santa Clause, the Tooth Fairy, dragons or unicorns. I'm deeply embarrassed for you.

Illegal? Or is it the fact that there are tax loopholes written by Congress that allow people to avoid taxes legally.

So, in reading your rant about the big rich, I thought about a recent show I watched by John Stossel. It was about how the rich freeload off the government. They have all kinds of ways to freeload off our hard earned taxes. They use an army of lobbyists to encourage our representatives to make them richer. It would be simpler if instead of taking my tax money, I paid them direct for their product.

In a myopic way, one could be encouraged to do a Madame Defarge and bring back the guillotine. However, I look at the big picture. These billionaires and zillionaires might not be worth a royal walk off the plank, but they do one thing well: They generate capital that pumps wealth into the system. That swimming pool maintenance man rides home with a paycheck because that zillionaire wants the easy life that money can buy. Even if that zillionaire does a Howard Hughes and hides in a room with the shades pulled, his wealth is being managed in the money markets which gives capital to someone like Larry Page to hire more than 20,000 employees at Google.

When the system is working well, even those smucks that would turn nice people like you and me into Madame Defarges, they all look like heroes. Even that nasty George Soros would look like a fuzzy bundle of . . . of dollars when the economy is good.

Hello? Taxation IS theft, especially the magnitude we are exposed to. You want more of it? Feel free to send in your ‘fair share’.

Some of our problems involve the OVER-taxation an the subsequent flight of money out of the country. Income taxes are evil, pure and simple. Surprised to hear someone here advocating the increased use of them.

You did no such thing....Let me remind you of what you actually said...

"They hire the best lawyers and financial advisers who are experts in hiding their wealth, defraying taxes incurred, stashing assets in offshore banks, incorporating outside the US in tax shelters, etc."

I think most of the things you said there...were legal and NOT corrupt. You outlined nothing.
