Oh, that makes sense. What dishes use egg yolks, though? I’ll have to look some up if DP and Elen are going to make meringue! If they’re too desperately fattening, I’ll take them to church ;-).

I always get halfway and get distracted. However, there’s not much to get disracted with around here, so..

Ceasar Salad is the first thing that comes to mind.

Eggs yolks are only fattening if eaten within 2 hours of bread or other carbs. imho.

Yep. Chocolate ice cream with ribbons of chocolate and little bitty chocolate cups with peanut butter filling. The “regular” Moose Tracks is vanilla. But I like the Extreme. If I knew how to ship it, I’d send you some.

"What dishes use egg yolks, though?"

Deviled egg yolks.

Please pass to Elen my wishes that she have a Middlin' Happy Birthday.

She's beautiful, did you know?

I could have loved the pies, if whipped cream had been used.

Egg yolks are used in puddings and pound cakes. It seems to me a lot of baking/making was used to explain the ingredients in certain recipes. But then, what do I know? I was born too soon.

"I was born too soon."

Not me. That's about my limit for holding my breath.

Capital gains taxes diminish investment, which affects employment.

I call bologna. The market and the economy are decoupled at this point. The former is a bubble - an epiphenomenon of QE, the latter is a victim of automation and offshoring.

I predict that the DOW will hit 15K this year (on devalued FRNs) -- for I do not believe the Fed will cut off QE in June, or the Fed will perhaps go into stealth mode QE -- and the U6 will remain above 16%,

All the things I’ve wanted to do have been invented since I’ve been born. Narnia would have been a good place for me. Or not.

Maybe Star Trek would have been a better venue for me.

Yes, we did know, even when she was a baby. She won the genetic lottery!

Although if she keeps getting poison ivy all over her face, it'll end up like a bad case of smallpox.

Elen needs to take stock of herself. She IS beautiful. Send her to me for a week and she’ll come back more in tune with who she is.

Just sayin’...

You can balogna all you want - I’m not fond of it, myself - but taxes on investment income affect investment and employment. There are many different forms of investment besides publicly-traded stocks.

Bubbles are a phenomenon of many different types of markets, but not a key point in any way. Over the long term, the real factors that determine ROI drive what is happening out in Real Life.

Currently she’s in tune with becoming a pop music star. She’s practicing the guitar again, as if we didn’t have enough of that going on.

You could get it on a recording and play it on watch instead of singing.

She needs to be herself. It’s hard to tell with a girl her age what she wants and what she REALLY wants. It’s difficult to say what she is best suited for. For now, she is like buckshot: scattered energy.

She is wavering between what she wants and what she thinks is expected of her.

We plan on helping her to avoid disaster for the next few years, and she’ll get going on the rest of her life when she’s ready. None of us is all there at 13!

Not anymore. That's what decoupling means. That's the definition.

Over the long term, the real factors that determine ROI

As measured in what? Fiat currency always collapses, and the FRN has lost 93% of its value since its inception - 20% of its value in the last year alone.

Over the long term we are all dead. Right now however, we are in a stock market bubble that will either collapse in June or lead to the Zimbabwefication of the pebbles and wampum with which you count your stocks.

It really doesn't matter what the tax rate goes to at this point. Toast - it's what's for empire.
