From articles about Libyan tribes I have found on Google, Qadaffi’s tribe is actually one of the smaller ones. With 6 million population in all, the Warfalla Tribe of around 2 million is the largest. They and the Firjan tribe are strong enemies having many executed in the 1990s coup attempt against Q. According to one report in Sirte, his tribe is relatively evenly opposed by another, with 4 sitting on the sidelines.
What I am wondering is why Libyan state radio is still able to broadcast. I heard earlier today it would be possible to cut it off outside the country.

Obama has more passion for Libyan Al Qaeda rebels than he does for average Americans of any color or background. He has never—never—praised Americans so unequivocally as he has everyoine else on the planet. And then he has the utter b*lls to use his Libyan announcement to snipe at Bush and Iraq.

Thanks gleeaikin. I did not know this. When time permits, I must research this info. Raises some questions. See on main board this AM in Breaking News (Past ties between Gadhafi, Farrakhan, Obama, U.S. Muslim groups raising questions). Have not read this one either, so going to see who is raising questions. Hoping to not be disappointed.
Obama has started something that is going to cost us American lives, all in hopes that it will help him get reelected.That is the sum total of the goals of this operation.
But if anti-war sentiment can help oust the R's in '06 and '08, let's see what it does in '12.

I honestly don’t think we have to do anything. I was just pointing out the hypocrisy of Bush’s/Obama’s claims to be for self-government. Our best approach is to stay out entirely and let Middle Easterners sort out their own destiny in their own way.
I think I’ve gone from wanting to let Libyans take our Daffy without our help, to fully rooting for Daffy.
The government runs the radio network. I assume their installations are more or less standard AM or FM broadcasting stations. If so. Unless you turn the power off to the facilities or destroy it, then they will broadcast. One could jam the frequencies they use. Why it is not being done, don’t have a clue.
BO/BS has already spun this successfully. By the time the election rolls around, he will be a full blown humanitarian hero.
If Ghadaffi remains, it's NATO's fault. If he's gone, BO/BS did it single-handedly in one of the greatest humanitarian gestures the world has ever seen, while minimizing American risk. Diplomatic triumph.

Let’s get serious here. This thread needs to focus on important things for nobama, the great leader. Just when will nobama next get some court time, have an opportunity to hit the links, go on another vacation or have yet another endless White House party? Will he appear on TMZ? Enquiring minds want to know.
