My guess is that he’s seen something big. He probably shouldn’t have seen it, so he’s not going to just come out with it. He’s instead dripping bits at a time to try and get someone to squeal.
all except the “squeal” part is 100% likely....he wouldn’t leave things up to the chance someone might come forward. The fix is in this deal. Just waiting to see if the date is going to show up to the dance.
