OSAKA, Japan (AFP) A shallow 6.5-magnitude earthquake hit off the northeast coast of Japan on Monday, the US Geological Survey said. The Japan Meteorological Agency issued a 50-centimetre (18 inch) tsunami warning for the Pacific coast of Miyagi prefecture, which was devastated by the huge earthquake and tsunami that hit on March 11.

Using keywords and searching keywords is a really good idea. Not your fault because the other thread posters did not use keywords... until I entered them just now.
Anyway, what is there to say? This is unimaginable, to endure all these strong EQs, as eastern Japan has been doing for over two weeks now.
Yeah, it was a thumper. I think about 3 or 4 here in Tokyo. I gotta tell ya, folks, my nerves are almost shot.
Was it on Coast to Coast that I heard someone say they thought that HARP had something to do with the big one?
You’re still in our prayers... Hope this gets better soon, it must be difficult. I don’t know how you’ve stayed so calm and together...
It is so easy to forget yesterday's news when we aren't personally involved. I can't fathom how life must have changed for everyone in Japan and New Zealand.
Stay strong.
There have been 800+ aftershocks of 4.0 or larger since the big one on the 11th. I can’t imagine how the people there must feel every time they feel another quake.
Hang in there!
Duh! I DID use “keywords”, “search” etc., etc., etc.It showed up later when I searched for “Japan” and “earthquake” under “title.” Actually it’s okay, ‘cause we posted from different news sources.
Wishing you a goodnight sleep soon. Stay well and sane if possible.
Randy
I am sorry.
Sure, its still Bushes fault that Obama bombed Libya!
Know what you mean... Every time it starts to shake you wonder if this is the start of something bigger or not...
Exactly. I used to feel that way every time before as well, but prior to March 11, the shaking would stop and I’d forget about it. That ballbuster two weeks ago changed everything.
Just last night I was helping an Irish gal pack up to move back. She’s a wreck. Hasn’t slept more than two hours straight since the event. Lots of people are thinking that way.
Being a Los Angeles native, life-long California resident and having experienced our Northridge EQ in 1994, I understand!!
But... only to a degree. What has hit Japan is a scenario that no one imagined could happen.
Also, for you, it started even sooner.. right?... when the 7.3 occurred off the southern coast of Japan during the week before the big tsunami.
I understand feeling rattled and unsettled. You will notice other people acting in abrupt, eruptive ways.
HUGS from U.S.A. to you and to JAPAN.
I’d practically forgotten the one that happened a week earlier. It was only a 3 or so when it reached Tokyo, so it just rattled things a bit. I did my usual freak, it subsided, I blew it off. That’s a LOT harder since the big one.
All prayers gratefully accepted! :-)
