In the bubble - the security apparatus that surrounds the president - there is always a military physician that accompanies the CIC, always. This physician is a member of the White House Medical Unit.

When POTUS or VPOTUS is speaking at a large event, it is not unusual to have local doc there to attend to any medical emergency among attendees.
The Prez’s doc stays with Prez, for security purposes. Used to usually be a Navy MD.
