That was investigated and never proven one way or the other. However Arthur's father was an Irish subject of the United Kingdom of Scottish descent, who naturalized as a U.S. citizen in 1843.
Chester Arthur was born in 1829 so had the same status as Barry does. Their fathers were NOT US Citizens at the time of birth so neither Chester or Barry were/are NATURAL BORN CITIZENs.
