I was thinking she had been fighting cancer for quite a long time. Sorry to hear she passed. I never agreed with her but she was a decent person.

I agree. She was a decent person with whom I strongly disagreed. There aren't any of those in today's crop of Democrats.
Can I just ask this:
How can a person be decent but hold all opposite views from you? Is it just because they aren’t physically attacking you?
Maybe I will put it another way: Since you both never agreed on anything, explain how you arrive at the conclusion she was a “decent” person?
