What a stupid bunch of ASSes Boeing heads were for moving there.

Makes you wonder. If the machinist union drove them there it seems management may have been outsmarted.

Don't think it was the machinist union. As I recall it was some combination of high sales taxs, enviro regs & permits, plus the tax incentives offered buy other states which made them move their corporate HQ to Chicago from WA State. Much of the argument centered on expanding their assembly building in Everett.
