It is also clear that the young, educated secular activists who initially propelled the nonideological revolution are no longer the driving political force at least not at the momentThis is so pathetically stupid and delusional, it can't even be called wrong.

So much for the “Facebook Revolution.”

“we would be the largest Muslim nation on earth” Barack 0bama, 2009.
Remember?
Remember that phrase.
If the USofA will exist by then, after all the political refugees and illegal aliens swarming the border....

Wasn't it the geniuses at the NYT who convinced the idiots at the State Deptartment that Fidel Castro was going to establish a Democracy in Cuba?
Well, I'm sooooo surprised they got this wrong...too.

Obama’s record of turnovers to radical Islam in the next few months is growing: Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Syria and perhaps Bahrain. By the end of his term, the President will have Israel surrounded by Islamic theocracies. This is justified by the Responsibility to Protect Islam.

Yes we all did say this was going to be the end result when this first started. Whats the proverb about a fool who opens his mouth and the wise man who listens?

Whoa. Who saw this one coming? Who could possibly have guessed that the organization that assassinated Anwar Sadat would turn out to be violent and revolutionary? Well, at least they're secular. I mean, if they were called the Christian Brotherhood, the Jewish Brotherhood, the Zoroastrian Brotherhood, or the Cargo Cult Brotherhood, well, you'd have to figure those guys had religion in mind, but the Muslim Brotherhood? It's just hard to imagine.
It is also clear that the young, educated secular activists who initially propelled the nonideological revolution are no longer the driving political force...
An absolutely jaw-dropping sentence. There may yet come a day when it will percolate into the thick skulls at the Times editorial board that the world does not consist of Perrier-sipping Manhattanites, nor is it tailored for their benefit, nor are they likely to run it, nor do they deserve to. There is no revolutionary movement populated by "young, educated, secular activists" that doesn't turn into dogfood the minute the pros show up. Egypt is not about to be governed by Ivy League MBA's in button-down shirts and Yankees ballcaps checking the latest stock reports on their Blackberries. It's time to fall back to plan B, which is to find a Republican to blame.

Yea, as Jim Neighbors/PFC Gomer Pyle used to say, “Surprise! Surprise!”
