The link I posted is to Part One. This talk, held at the University of California, Berkeley, contains 7 parts. Each part is about 11 minutes or so long, so once the NCAA games are over, and you take a break from your tax preparation, give it a listen. It's not a particularly visual report; you can put it on in the background while doing other things.
Here are the rest of the sections, in proper order (which are also available at the link)

I can read about a hundred times faster than I can listen.
bttt
But of course, who needs engineers, biology majors, physicists, language interpreters, artists, musicians, etc.

Your promised “ping” Hope I got everyone!
This talk explains a LOT of things.
It explains why the college grads that apply for jobs at your company seem so uneducated (because they are). It explains why going to a “name” school is a horrendous waste of money. He explains why the schools really do tilt WAY to the left. He also offers solutions. And how students can get the most out of their education.
He names names.
And I doubt he’s invited back to Berkeley to speak anytime soon, after this.
P.S. He is also on the internets.

I hope you all find this as useful as I did.
I agree with your last two.
A guy that can fix my water main break has more value to me than a Master’s Degree in Economics.

I hope you listen to this talk.
He explains why we have a surplus of people in the sciences, even including such things as Molecular Biologists.
I posted it because it contained some very surprising information.
:)
I also posted his websites, for readers like you and me.
That said, I hope you listen to it.
The tax eaters need tax payers, hence the need for professionals that do REAL work....The "social" or helping people notwithstanding...

Once you’ve watched it, holler back and let us know what you think!
I would not spend a cent enrolling a kid into the kinds of classes that pass for ‘education’ here.
Bottom line: Americans forgot the distinction between an education and a vocation .... long time ago. These things are absolutely different and Universities capitalize on the stupidity of Americans who have bought the hype about a ‘college degree’.
Just look at the losers walking around any campus in America. Do some of these kids look like students? I have seen the same students all semester, and some, I have NEVER ONCE seen reading or carrying a book!! It's all play time for them and since they have 'easy as pie' classes that ANYONE could pass, they graduate with BS degrees and NO prospect of work. (Most of them are in school on the gov't. nickle... Universities and colleges will NEVER turn them away and have designed 'degrees' for them which they would have to be blind and deaf to fail in achieving.)
” they would have to be blind and deaf to fail in achieving.) “
Since Bob Dole and GHWB inflicted the ADA on us in 1990, the blind and deaf are not permitted to ‘fail’.....
