Madison — A state appeals panel said Thursday a case over a new collective bargaining should go directly to the state Supreme Court.

The move puts the issue squarely before the Supreme Court less than two weeks before Justice David Prosser faces re-election.

Yes it is.

The appellate court has two libs on it and the Chief justice of the SSC and Prosser have a terrible relationship which got some play up here in the papers. They figure it will benefit them to vote on it before the election.

We really have to hope that the Silent Majority is getting ready to slap all of these libs down April 5th.

The left will use the publishing of the law for numerous campaign ads against Judge Prosser, thereby returning the State Supreme court to the left. After that, all Walker/Republican legislation will be taken to court and overturned, handing control of Wisconsin to the Unions and the Dems.

BTW, the Dem running against Prosser major legal expertise is in prosecuting DNR cases involving lake dock length. Other than that, her legal experience is zilch. She is as hard radical left as it comes - apparently her facebook page links to every wacko group around.

The senate needs to call an immediate vote (with police at the doors) to make the law retroactive to Jan 1. The Unions will try and sign as many deals as possible while this goes on.

Greta had the Senate Leader on last night and asked why they didn't do just that, he said they were comfortable with the way things were going in the courts.

I have thought all along they would wimp out, seems they have.

Agreed. Anyway, if the WSC makes a major ruling on a rather straightforward law like this, the Wisconsin “Labour” party may be shooting itself in the foot in the long run. And if a court can create a right to collective bargaining just for state employees, then they’re really digging a ditch for themselves.

I'd like to see a full Right-to-Work in WI, to really make the unions heads explode.

I'm proud to see Republicans in WI who are actually willing to fight. We need more of that type in DC.

It’s hard to say. The court that bumped it to the Supreme Court is very lefty and they know that this suit will be overturned by the now right leaning court and the bill will be published into law.
But, the left is working hard to get Kloppenburg elected on April 5. She’s running against sitting justice David Prosser.
If she beats Prosser the court will be owned by the left and they can overturn this and any other laws passed in Wisconsin.

What happens if the Supreme Court makes their ruling before the election on April 5? Is there Stare Decisis?

It's likely that they will rule soon, if Kloppenburg wins the election she won't replace Prosser until August when she's sworn in.

Is there Stare Decisis?

There's no such thing when it comes to activist judges.

It’s critical that Prosser gets elected.
Unfortunately his campaign is very disorganized and they have very little money.

I just Googled and found no election site for him. Do you know if there is a way to contribute?

http://www.justiceprosser.com/

You can't donate directly to him, he agreed to the govenment's $300,000 limit as did Kloppenburg. Some good organizations are running ads for him but I don't know the names off the top of my head.

I called Gov Scott Walker's office today, and also my WI state senator Sheila Harsdorg (R). I hate to say it, but I think the Repubs are looking increasingly disorganized & confused & on the ropes with the demoRATS. I think the Repubs are trying to be genteel & civil, and the demoRATs could care less.... they are playing hardball & for keeps, and the Repubs are being played for chumps. I asked Gov Walker's office why the Repubs would not simply ignore some 2-bit peon district court judge and move full steam ahead to implement the law.

That is what 0dumb0 & the RATs did with the Federal judge in Louisiana who ruled TWICE that offshore drilling should proceed and 0dumb0 just tells them to Eff off and does nothing.

I am afraid that Walker & the Repubs are losing the PR battle big time and putting pressure on the Repub senators who did their jobs...instead the demoRAT senator who ran like cowards are increasingly looking stronger for standing up to Walker & the Repubs.

Gov Walker & the Repubs better start playing hard ball real fast or the demoRATs socialist & union bastards are going to clean their clocks and essentially neutralize Walker & the Repubs for the next 2-4 years. What a travesty!

I know the Prosser campaign is disorganized. I managed to get my hands on a yard sign but now they’re out of them. I offered to help make calls for the campaign, I have a lot of experience with that, and I’ve been bounced around from person to person in the campaign. They don’t even have the phones working yet in Waukesha County and the election is less than 2 weeks away!
I am worried.

How organized are your Tea Party type organizations up there?

Hope someone mobilizes the seniors, the innercity parents who have kids in the voucher system, etc. Someone needs to make it clear to those parents that if Plosser loses, their kids will be sent right back to the Milwaukee public schools. Because that will be the next thing to go...the voucher program.
