Despite continued coalition air strikes, forces loyal to Colonel Gaddafi have regained control of Misrata, Libya's third largest city. The offensive has trapped thousands of Egyptian and sub-Saharan African workers who are trying to flee the fighting.

Meanwhile, NATO members are meeting in an attempt to resolve the problem of who will ultimately be in charge of the military operations against Libya.

Middle East correspondent Ben Knight reports from Tobruk.

Once they are IN the city, they are pretty-much immune from air attack, due to reluctance of Western forces to be seen as responsible for collateral damage.

Time to send in the troops — in a nuanced way, though, right barry???

There you go boys. - There is the next LIE set up to justify boots on the ground.
What are those 4,000 marines on their way to the area for again?

Workers my butt. - If there are foreigners there they are mostly mercenaries & jihadists.
Civilians would have left a month ago!

Bloody hell.

One old fashioned 8-inch cruiser could have secured the perimeter of that town! WTF is wrong with these people? The hell with these fast movers. Get some helos in there and start taking out tanks. It ain't rocket surgery.

Get those rebels some anti-tank equipment. We're letting whatever passes for good guys in that hellhole get wiped out, creating an excellent vacuum for al-qaida to fill.

Those that are passing for good guys are quite likely al-Quaida or some other offshoot of the Moslem Brotherhood.

Yes, our Capo Ano really did the al-qaida boys quite a favor by allowing Ghadaffi to wipe out any semblance of rational thought in that fly-blown pest house. 30 days ago, Ghadaffi was ready to quit, when our boy went missing, flying down to Rio.

Now he says it's OK for Ghadaffi to stay.
