Cain has no shot. Not even worth thinking about. I like Daniels, which means he has no chance (no one I like ever does.) I’ve pretty much sunk into political nihilism anyway. I’m just here to enjoy the absurd spectacle.
I keep remembering all the FReeper enthusiasm (including my own) for Fred Thompson in 2008.
I finally admitted to myself that he was unelectable when he won just 13% of the vote in the Republican primary in (Republican) South Carolina. He lost to McCain, Huckabee, and Romney. Absurd spectacle, indeed.
Maybe 2012 will be less absurd.
