Friends and family of Elizabeth Taylor may get unexpected visitors at her funeral picketers from the Westboro Baptist Church.
Margie Phelps, daughter of the hate group's leader Fred Phelps, tweeted Wednesday that they would picket Taylor's funeral, most likely because of Taylor's gay friends and humanitarian work against AIDS.
Phelps also tweeted several attacks on Taylor, including "RIP Elizabeth Taylor is in hell as sure as you're reading this & getting mad as a wet hen. She should've obeyed God. Too late!"

I remember reading somewhere how in the 1960’s the Hells Angels attacked a mob of hippies marching or protesting this or that. Somewhere in California I think.
No idea why reading this story made me think of that.
THIS time I DO BELIEVE they’ve gone too far.
I think this one, strangely, will get some real strong reaction.
Who’s bankrolling these FOG’s (Friends of Gore)? Surely they knew his party supported homosexuals when they were throwing fundraisers for him?
This may be a real interesting protest with all the libs attending the funeral!
Popcorn!
I agree. There may be trouble with this one.
Sooner or later this morons will pi$$ off the wrong guy and there will be a bloodbath.
They’ll get plenty of publicity, but the Gay Mafia in California will chew them to the bone if they dare show up...(IMHO)
From what I have read about these hateful people, this Westboro Baptist is more like a cult than a church, and is composed mostly of family members. I am guessing there are a lot of consanguineous relationships in that family.
They can’t sue if they ain’t breathing.
note; this is not a threat. This is my personal view of what COULD happen to these disgusting and immoral scumbags once they pick on the wrong person. Myself for example. I have a daughter entering the service this summer. If something should happen to her? It’s best they not show up. There are some pretty serious rednecks in these parts.
All of the liberals who were silent when soldiers’ funerals were disturbed will be howling now.
I don’t agree with them, but this does make more sense than protesting the funerals of soldiers.
They’re riding high off of the recent SCOTUS win.
They may be biting off more than than chew this time. I dearly hope so.
Hell’s Angels at Altamont, December 6, 1969

On December 6, 1969 the Rolling Stones organized - if that’s the right word - and headlined the free Altamont Music Festival at the Altamont speedway in northern California. This was a few months after Woodstock, and there was a general idea that the Stones would have their own Woodstock. It had been scheduled to happen at the Golden Gate Park, but San Francisco officials revoked their permission (if they even had proper paperwork to begin with) at the last minute when Mick Jagger publicly announced that the Stones would be there out of crowd control concerns. It was then supposed to be going to Sears Point Raceway, but that fell through as well. The Altamont venue was finally settled on as late as December 4.
Surprisingly enough, 400,000 rock fans showing up at a place selected within the last 48 hours turned out badly. Four people managed to wind up dead. A couple of people got killed in an auto accident amidst the chaos, and one person managed to drown in a drainage ditch. The famous death, of course, was Meredith Hunter who was stabbed multiple times and kicked to death on film right in front of the stage by Hell’s Angels during the Rolling Stones set.
These Phelps people are really quite tedious. As in EXTREMELY tedious.
