The Environmental Protection Agency still is trying to shut down a gas drilling operation near Fort Worth despite fresh doubts about the agency’s central allegation, that the drilling had tainted the local water supply, The Wall Street Journal reports.
Texas’ own regulators say new scientific tests on gas in the water well show the leakage is the result of natural causes: gas migrating upward from a rock formation that lies directly below the tainted aquifer.
Armed with these findings, Texas officials allege that the EPA is using dubious science to reach hasty conclusions that will harm the state’s economy.
“This is an example of overreaching at its worst,” said Texas regulator Michael Williams.

The EPA needs to be totally abolished. All government (parasite) workers at the EPA need to be fired. All EPA buildings need to be razed.
The EPA is totally infested with anti-American and anti-Capitalistic far left parasites. The employees of the EPA live to right rules and regulations that cause pain and misery to hard working Americans. The EPA is the RINO Nixon's legacy.
Texas should tell them to get lost, and if they try to interfere in the affairs of the state, have the Sheriff arrest them on sight.
Regulating the environment is not an enumerated power granted to Congress in Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution! Therefore it is a power reserved to the states or to the people per the 10th Amendment! The mere existence of the EPA is unconstitutional and must be abolished!
Why in God’s name is Texas still playing games with the stinking EPA?
Hey Texas - just do it. Tell the EPA scum to go play in the street.
If it can be proven that the EPA fudged or outright fabricated it’s results, this will open the door to all it’s other ‘findings’ to be examined. If it’s proved the agency is rife with fraud, it could be abolished or severely limited in it’s scope.
